Why doesn't my music or podcast get quieter during announcements – or why can I barely hear the announcements?

Which app is allowed to play sound when, and whether music gets turned down during an announcement, is controlled by the phone itself. This varies from model to model: some phones handle it well, others poorly.

On top of that: big apps like Spotify are usually given higher priority by the system than a small app like Trait. That's why the announcements often don't manage to turn down the music and get lost in your podcast or playlist.

Unfortunately, this is out of our hands – we can't override the phone's behavior here. What you can try: set the music a bit quieter than the overall media volume allows, or look for audio priority options in the settings of your music app or your phone.
