Watches & connections

My watch (Samsung, Huawei, Amazfit, Xiaomi, Wahoo …) isn't listed – what can I do?

These manufacturers aren't directly connected at the moment. We're aware of the wish but can't give a date. If your watch passes its runs on to Strava, you can connect Strava to Trait; alternatively, use the free in-app tracker.

Right now you can connect Apple Health / Apple Watch, Garmin, Strava, Polar, Coros, Suunto, Fitbit and a few other services directly to Trait – you'll find them under Home screen → Settings → Connections.

Not directly connected are, for example, Samsung, Huawei, Amazfit, Xiaomi and Wahoo. We know that many of you use these watches, and we're aware of the wish. However, we can't give a date or make any promises.

Your options:

  • Workaround via Strava: If your watch or its app passes your runs on to Strava, you can connect Strava to Trait. Your runs then arrive in Trait via Strava.
  • In-app tracker: Record your workouts with the Trait tracker on your phone. It's free and announces segments, laps and the end of the workout.
  • Mark as done manually: If you run freely with your watch, you can manually mark the planned workout as done in Trait.

For context: one connection is free, a second simultaneous connection is Pro (see Can I connect two services at the same time?).
