Predictions & stats
You'll see your progress much better in the graphs and statistics on the Stats page than in the prediction. Other signals: Trait suggests faster paces after the Checkout or in the monthly heart rate analysis when you've gotten fitter. If a run you've just saved is missing from the overview, fully restarting the app usually helps.
Many people expect progress to show up primarily in the prediction. But the prediction is the wrong tool for that: over time it mainly becomes more accurate, not necessarily faster (see Why is my prediction getting worse?). Progress shows up elsewhere.
On the Stats page you'll find graphs and statistics on your training, your training progress and your load. There you can see how your training develops over weeks and months – that's the better basis for assessing your progress.
After every Checkout, Trait checks whether your session was as strenuous as expected. If the same easy session feels noticeably easier in month three, that's a sign of increased fitness – Trait will then suggest raising your paces. In addition, about once a month Trait compares your heart rate at the same pace with the previous month. If it drops, you've gotten fitter, and Trait suggests faster paces. Each of these suggestions is a visible sign of progress. You can accept the suggestions with Pro; in Free you'll see that an analysis has taken place.
Other sports also count proportionally towards load and progress – exactly how is explained under How do other sports count towards my training load?
If a run was saved without an error message, it's saved. The app uses a cache so it doesn't have to reload all sessions every time you open it – which is why a brand-new session sometimes only appears in the calendar and statistics after you fully close and restart the app.
